The Valentine provides 321 student beds in Redbridge, north London for Outpost Management and Crosstree Real Estate Partners. The high-quality facade shows that volumetric construction can be indistinguishable from traditional builds.
The use of factory methods also reduced embodied carbon by 4,489 tonnes, and minimised the need for site personnel, ensuring safe compliance with Covid-19 restrictions and ably demonstrating the three intrinsic advantages of volumetric delivery: safety, sustainability and efficiency.
Volumetric manufacture accounted for nearly 80% of construction, but just 12.5% of total construction time.
